Kährs

Kährs products are considered to be products of great quality. They are manufactured mainly in three-ply and are available in one, two and three-strip versions.

Kährs products are mainly "floating", where the parquet boards are bonded together side by side and not to the underfloor. There are different types of bottom and middle layers, as well as different thicknesses. Linnea is a veneer product (i.e. with a thin top layer) and is performing very well.

The company’s wooden floors have been produced with the woodloc® joint since mid-2001, and has achieved market leadership in lock systems with more than 15 million square meters floor installed. Many prestigious buildings around the world have been supplied with Kährs floors, for instance the National Opera House, Prague, Czech Republic, and the Performing Arts Centre, St Swithun’s School, Winchester, UK. The installation in the Van Palace in Beijing, China, has been successfully completed.

Kährs have production units in Nybro, Ljusdal and Blomstermåla (Sweden) and in Brumunddal (Norway).

Environment and Quality
The plants in Brumunddal, Nybro and Ljusdal have environmental and quality certification according to ISO 14001 and ISO 9000 and are EMAS-registered. Kährs Blomstermåla is certified according to ISO 14001 and is EMAS- registered.
