T&R supplies rustic wood flooring for Deda Cube

Kährs rustic Oak wood flooring has been installed at Déda’s new look CUBE café|bar in Derby. Déda (formerly known as Derby Dance) is a unique venue located in Derby city centre offering a dance-focussed arts programme.   Chosen to provide durability, stability and easy maintenance, Kährs Oak wood flooring brings a warm, natural feel to the eatery’s vibrant, new look interior.  All flooring was supplied by Nottingham-based T&R Floor Covering Distributors Ltd and installed by SWG Flooring Ltd of Derby.

With a class curriculum of almost 50 classes a week, and an extensive community development programme, Déda is one of the key cultural organisations in the city, receiving funding from Arts Council England and Derby City Council.   The building houses two performance spaces, two professionally equipped dance studios, conferencing facilities, as well as the new-look CUBE café|bar - which also serves as a separate performance and private function space, as well as one of Déda’s three visual arts galleries.

T&R introduces comprehensive Polysafe Modena PUR range

T&R Floor Covering Distributors has introduced a new range of safety flooring to its stockholding, enabling quick and direct delivery for customers.    Polysafe Modena PUR, manufactured by Polyflor, is a new decorative, slip-resistant floor that features a high-clarity, micro-granite appearance.  It is available in 14 different shades, with colour options spanning from earthy grey and moss tones, to vibrant citrus shades.

Polyfor’s Polysafe Modena PUR is suitable for both high traffic showcase areas, as well as traditional safety flooring locations at risk from spillages.  The inclusion of clear aluminium oxide within the product provides virtually invisible built-in safety, without compromising the floor’s aesthetic.  Polysafe Modena PUR is fully compliant with HSE and UK Slip Resistance Group Guidelines, achieving 36+ in the Pendulum Wet Test (Slider 96) and a surface roughness of 20 microns and above.   It also benefits from Polyflor’s exclusive Polysafe PUR maintenance enhancement; this is cross-linked and UV-cured, providing optimum appearance levels, easier maintenance and a reduction of life-cycle cleaning costs by up to 60%, compared to untreated safety flooring.

In addition to providing sustainable wet slip resistance, Polysafe Modena PUR fully meets the requirements of EN 13845 - the European standard for safety flooring - and achieves a BRE Global Generic A+ environmental rating.   The product also contains recycled material and is suitable for recycling through the Recofloor Vinyl Take Back Scheme.
