T&R shows support for all CFA Award apprentice entrants

T&R Floor Covering Distributors has, once again, joined the sponsorship team for the CFA Apprentice of the Year Award. This year, as well as contributing towards the generous prize package, the Nottingham-based firm is also giving each individual entrant a Mozart Weld Rod Trimming Tool and a Carpet Claw, to help set them up in the trade.

“Flooring apprenticeships are vital for the future. We need to do everything that we can to encourage and support them. By acknowledging and helping every entrant, we can create even greater awareness of this fabulous initiative, and help the young apprentices on their way,” commented Paul Clifford, T&R’s Sales Director.

The CFA Apprentice Award forms part of the annual CFA/CFJ Flooring Industry Awards and is sponsored by Construction Skills. Along with the prestigious accolade, the winner will receive a generous prize package, which includes a specialist professional tool kit, with further tools donated by T&R.

T&R launches new Fusion Flooring range

T&R Floor Covering Distributors has introduced a stunning new range of resilient floors. The new Fusion Flooring range includes 15 wood and stone effect designs that are suitable for both heavy-traffic commercial and domestic installation. As well as providing a stunning, authentic surface finish, the floors also provide R10 slip resistance and a host of environmental benefits; they comprise on average 40% recycled content, are low VOC, 100% recyclable and have an A+ Generic BRE rating.

Fusion Flooring’s Wood Collection includes 11 wood plank designs, spanning from Royal White Oak to deep-toned Willow Brown Oak and measuring 184.2 x 1219.2mm. The Stone Collection includes four designs: Ivory Limestone, Organic Fossilstone, Urban Concrete and Black Riven Slate, each measuring 457.2 x 457.2mm. All floors feature a bevel effect on all four sides, which adds depth and detail to the finished look. To add further definition, Fusion Grouting, Marquetry or Feature Strips can be laid between the square tiles or planks.

All Fusion Floors are offered with a 10-year commercial guarantee and a 15-year domestic guarantee. They are available from extensive T&R stock - for standard two-day delivery or next day, by request - alongside a wide variety of accessories, including screeds, adhesives, tools and workwear.

New all-purpose Ultra Floor screeds join T&R’s range

T&R Floor Covering Distributors has introduced three new Ultra Floor underlayments to its Adhesives & Screeds Range. The new products – Level It Super30, Level It Bond and Level It 2 – offer multiple application and performance benefits, including reduced installation times. All three products are available from extensive stock, for standard two-day delivery or next day, by request.

Ultra Floor Level It Super30 is a rapid setting/drying underlayment that allows you to level and lay in a day, cutting on-site time. The high performance screed gives rapid strength gain and is ready for foot traffic after 30 minutes and for overlay after 45 minutes. Impervious floorcovering can be installed after just three hours.

New Level It Bond is a rapid drying, moisture tolerant screed that can be applied over adhesive residues, eliminating the need for priming and cutting on-site time. The underlayment is also moisture tolerant and can be overlaid after four hours.

The third new screed, Level It 2 is a high flow preparation that offers superior flow and handling, for a fast installation. The two-component underlayment is also tolerant to moisture and can be overlaid after 12 hours.
